- I am rescheduling our next meeting to order dresses to Saturday March third. This will give us enough time to finalize our research and settle on the options
- Kristen, I am going to stop by your job on Friday the 2nd of February to drop off the color swatches that Tyana and I will hopefully find tomorrow.
- This is the website for the photographer that I really liked: http://www.figtreeproductions.com/index.html their packages start at $4,000 so there is not a chance that I would get them....who would have thought that wedding pictures could be so expensive?

My Wedding Vision
I stopped procrastinating and I have forced myself (the same person who swore never to run around with wedding magazines) to come up with a vision of some sorts for the wedding. once and for all, those trying to help me can cease to be fustrated by the blank expression that I produce when asked about the wedding. I wrote it down, talked it over with future DH and I am cooking with gas!
My wedding summed up in three words: Elegant, soulful and fun
Decor
-My goal is to have the reception hall look intimate, elegant and festive.
-The current thoughts that I have are:
-A short vase with short-cut roses in gold or ivory. With lavender votives, eggplant napkin and an eggplant ribbon tied around the back of each chair. Branches throughout the hall with hanging tea-lights.
-After carefully reviewing my budget...a florist is out of the question. Wholesale market here I come!
Music
-First set needs to be dance music that everyone can relate to and that will get everyone on the dance-floor like Steve Wonder, classic Michael Jackson, etc.
-2 sets of Combination Salsa and Merengue
-1 set of NJ club music
-1 set of 80’s Dance Music
-1 set of carnival music
-1 set of dancehall from 90’s and 2000’s
-2 sets of hip hop
-1 set of classic soul slow dance music
-First Dance: Unforgettable?
-Last Dance: Cruising by D’Angelo?
Transportation
-Limo for the wedding party. First trip for groomsmen and second trip for bride and bridesmaids.
-Limo for parents
-Luxury car rental for the groom
Photography
-Mostly candid shot
-Predetermined list of portraits
-Fast turnaround on photos-Albums for bride and parents and CD of all my pictures.
Favors
I want something useful or a charitable donation
-Assortment of tea’s
-Cookies
-Music CD
-Lavender room spray
Invitations
-Ivory cardstock
-2 color digital printing with black cursive lettering and eggplant accents.
-Laser printed clear labels for envelopes
Video
-Not in the budget!
-I will have a camera to be passed around for footage and commentary.
Seating Arrangements
-When guests arrive to reception hall, seating arrangements will be on display for them to find their name.
-Once they collect their cards, they will be escorted to their table by a host.
-Each table will be named for something that Todd and I like.
Fun things
-Slide show of our pictures before cake cutting.
????I need more ideas!
